Shakespeare Slam This Sunday

Theatre@First is proud to bring you a SHAKESPEARE SLAM on Sunday, August 18! But what IS a Shakespeare Slam, you ask? It's an afternoon of open-mic theater, with a special eye toward the Bard. So if you like:

-Open Mics
-One Act Plays
-Sketch Comedy
-Shakespeare

or all of the above, then come see what we have to offer!

***ALL WELCOME, none judged!***
1-5pm on Sunday, August 18th
The Burren - 247 Elm St, Somerville

Admission Price: $10 GENERAL, $8 STUDENT (with ID), and only $5 if you PERFORM a monologue or a scene or read a sonnet (we'll have a batch in a basket on hand!) Proceeds will benefit T@F's fall production of Twelfth Night (going up in September - details found at theatreatfirst.org as they develop)

If you have a 10 minute or longer piece you'd like to perform, contact Jared Hite at jhite1230@gmail.com so that we can make sure to fit you in!

This event brought to you by Theatre@First, in conjunction with the Anarchist Society of Shakespeareans (the A.S.S.) and the Gunpowder Plot - lighting the fuse under the official stage.
